By leveraging insights from VIA Character Strengths, teams align their goals with inherent strengths, enhance collaboration, and cultivate a supportive work environment. CCSolutions integrates VIA Character Strengths to promote personal and professional growth, emphasising strengths-based leadership and teamwork for organisational success.

The VIA Character Strengths are a classification of 24 universal virtues and positive traits identified by positive psychology researchers Dr. Martin Seligman and Dr. Christopher Peterson. These strengths encompass qualities valued across cultures and throughout history, contributing to personal well-being and fulfillment.

Each strength is organized under six broad categories:

  1. Wisdom: Includes strengths like creativity, curiosity, judgment, and perspective, emphasizing cognitive and intellectual virtues.
  2. Courage: Encompasses bravery, perseverance, honesty, and zest, highlighting strengths that enable individuals to confront challenges and pursue goals.
  3. Humanity: Involves strengths such as kindness, love, and social intelligence, focusing on qualities that promote positive relationships and empathy.
  4. Justice: Includes fairness, leadership, and teamwork, emphasizing strengths related to civic and interpersonal responsibilities.
  5. Temperance: Encompasses strengths like forgiveness, humility, and self-regulation, highlighting virtues that facilitate self-control and moderation.
  6. Transcendence: Involves strengths such as gratitude, hope, and spirituality, emphasizing virtues that connect individuals to something larger than themselves.

The VIA Character Strengths Survey assesses these strengths in individuals, providing insights into their core virtues and guiding personal development efforts. Recognizing and leveraging one’s VIA Character Strengths can enhance well-being, resilience, and overall life satisfaction, promoting a balanced approach to personal growth and achievement.
